About this project
Hi everybody--it's Chrissy Murderbot here. I'm currently finishing up my new album, and things are looking great: the music is coming out really good, the album has been picked up by an awesome label, and it's all happening at a time when the outside world is finally waking up to Chicago's dance music scene again (especially Juke).
One of my big goals for this project is to make a music video for the lead single--something that will help promote the album, promote me, and promote Chicago. I want to sum up in pictures what this city's scene is about in 2010.
I've got an awesome director lined up, and the City of Chicago has already chipped in some money to help fund this project, but realistically we need more to do this the right way. I'm asking for your help to raise an additional $2,000 to make this happen.
Your contributions will go toward equipment rentals, location rental, paying staff (director, DP, editor, etc.), and incidentals like memory cards and permits.
I'm offering a lot of awesome gifts in return for your help, ranging from free mp3s and video downloads to special one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted packages with hours of music, and even the naming rights to my new album! (That's right, some lucky person out there can see "YOUR NAME HERE: The Album" by Chrissy Murderbot on store shelves, reviewed in magazines and blogs, etc.!)
If you choose a pledge level that includes physical product (CDs, LPs, thumb drives, etc.), that product will ship in the first two weeks of October. You will be asked for your shipping address in the first week of October.
For special handmade items, shipping may take a little longer--be patient...you'll definitely have it in hand by mid-November. I'll send the other stuff ahead of it to keep you busy.
For those getting the limited edition 2LP / CD with custom artwork, we're expecting an April release date, so you'll get it then. Again, everything else will ship to you in October.

I've already got "Women's Studies" pretty much finished (coming Spring 2011), but the follow-up album (scheduled for 2012) will be named after the person who pledges this super-hero big-deal life-saver amount.
