Sorry for being out of touch, putting the final touches on this jam packed double issue has taken more time than expected. However, we are happy to report after a super fun and exciting preview party at Salonathon this Monday, we are now at the printer and will have the finished magazine late next week. 

If you are in Chicago and would like to pick up your copy in person, we will have our second release party at Parlour on Clark in conjunction with Northern Lights on Saturday, August 25th, 10pm–3am. We will have several awesome performances from current and past contributors to the magazine. If you do plan to pick up rewards this way, shoot us a message so we know what to bring. 

We will hopefully start shipping the rewards the week of August 26–31. If you have a change of address for the month of September from when we sent out surveys, please let us know ASAP!  Also, if you have not yet answered the survey, now's a great time!

If you haven't yet, you should annoy your friends and loved ones with Chicago IRL's very own "Call Me Maybe" parody video. We've got 9 days left and only $106 to go, which is awesome! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. 

We are currently working on lots of great things behind the scenes. We're sorting through truly fantastic submissions from over 30 contributors for the fourth issue and still wrangling some last minute additions. We'll be able to start previewing that work soon. 

We're also planning an apocalyptic cover shoot by Jonathan Mathias featuring issue three contributors Kiam Marcelo Junio and Wes Perry as well as Chicago IRL newcomers KOKUMO KINETIC and Jackie Guerrero. To give you a mental teaser: the mounted barbershop quartet of the apocalypse. Be excited.

Also! If you are in Chicago, we are co-hosting with The Qu DON'T ACT LIKE A QUEER: The Ultimate All Inclusive Post-Pride Performance Dance Party this Sunday, June 24th at 9pm at the Annoyance Theater following the final performance of Wes Perry's critically acclaimed one man show DON'T ACT LIKE A GIRL (8pm. Tickets $10). The event is 18+ and there is no cover. DJ Reagonomix (FKA) will spin beats and Jüdi Blüüm, Sissy Spastik, [X]P, and Suzy Rocco Granite will perform. RSVP on Facebook to let your friends know how awesome you are.

Also, some new rewards will be announced in the coming days! Additional artist postcards, original polaroids, and more?! You won't even have to change your pledge level to get more goodies because we love you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has backed the project. The first few hours after going live were nerve wracking while we waited to see if we'd get our first backer or if we'd be left to the cold, dark solitude of the internet. Your support has warmed our hearts and our... hearts.
