About this project
How This All Started...
One Beautiful sunday morning Eric Aldama had a vision of creating a cartoon based on baked goods. After approaching long time Highschool friend/animator Rachel Yonda, the two decided to make this cartoon a reality. They stayed in contact over the next year bouncing ideas back and fourth until they created Muffin Buds.
The project developed slowly, but it started to pick up momentum. As the elements became more polished Eric and Rachel realized how much they really wanted to watch their own cartoon and enjoy it just like all the ones they grew up watching. They also realized that if they were ever going to finish this, they were going to need some help.
The Premise
Muffin Buds is about Harry and James. Two muffins trying to make sense of the world while never actually putting forth much of an effort. The two buds rent a room from Mr. Figgens, a small fig newton with anger management issues and a severe addiction to coffee and cigarettes
This all takes place in Buttermilk City where life has never tasted so sweet.
Every month, Harry and James scrounge together just enough money for rent. They weed through odd jobs and daring adventures. When they exhaust all possible streams of revenue, they can count on their two best friends, Arturo the Churro and Barry the Bagel, to give them just one more idea or scheme to make that precious cash.
The Goal
Animation can be expensive and there are lots of elements involved. In order for us to make a great quality cartoon we need to spend money. We’re hoping that we can raise the funds needed with your help.
If and When we do reach our goal, we can begin animating a pilot for Muffin Buds that we plan on entering into animation festivals and eventually releasing online. The ultimate goal is to make more episodes and this is the first step.

*If you live internationally please add $10 to your pledge to accommodate for extra shipping costs.
*Rewards that involve being physically present in Los Angeles will not cover expenses for transportation/hotel .
