Building an improved, more durable portable brick oven for historical recreation and demonstration.
Two years ago, I built a portable brick oven. I've been taking the oven around to SCA events in Southern California. It has been working well, but the current oven was built as a proof of concept and was not meant to hold up to all of the rigors of regular transport.
Over the past two years, I've cooked countless pizzas, loaves of bread, soft pretzels and bagels, roasted meats and vegetables. I am now satisfied that the concept works, I am ready to build a second, more feature full and resilient oven that should provide many years of service.
The new oven will be constructed out of fire clay bricks, use refractory mortar. It will be insulated top and bottom to improve the heat profile and will have more usable hearth space to allow for higher production.
The back of the T-shirt will have the recipe for the lamb sausage and goat cheese pizza.

I've had a few requests for more information on what the backer shirt will look like. The final design is not complete, Likely it will have a depiction of an oven and bread on the front with "Bake-inator Caidan Progress - A.S. 47" and a list of events and dates on the back.

I will make one for you. Must live in San Diego, Riverside or LA county. Oven only, the platform or supporting infrastructure is up to you. If you are in San Diego, I can build it in place for you, If you are outside San Diego, I'll deliver the completed oven. You must have a completed platform accessible to truck ready before delivery.
