Dear Friend, 

I'm sitting in a coffee shop with the task of describing my project to you,and how I plan to pull it all off. However I am unsure of where to begin, seeing as this project is an extension of something incredibly close and personal to my heart.  This past year has been my first attempt at songwriting and what it looks like to put passion into musical form. This EP is the equivalent of me dipping my toe into the ocean that is songwriting. 

It was just under two years ago that I began taking songwriting seriously. I knew that the inspiration and heartbeat of my lyrics were from my growing relationship with Jesus. But my journey started with a lot of doubt and the feeling that I didn't have much to give. I have been surrounded by amazing songwriters and musicians practically my entire life. They had heartbreaking stories, and songs of overcoming all odds and growing despite loss and death. I had nothing. My life has been a blessed one. I started to believe that I was a shallow person with nothing to offer in songwriting that was compelling or worth a listen. But the Lord had a different view. He showed me that I am grounded in hope and rest. I am standing firm on the other side of the storm for people to find peace in knowing that there is grace and love and they will make it. 

These songs have been pieced together out of a place of rest. They were written while laying on the floor in the presence of God, in the car, during breakfast with friends, during various worship sets. There is always a process of crafting the song, but for the most part this EP captures songs that are an overflow of restful heartfelt worship for the most loving father I have ever known. 

I set out to write songs because I love the Lord, and he has shown me that He will use them to do what He wants with them. By supporting me in my efforts you are not only making a personal dream possible, you're also supporting a growing community of musicians, songwriters and friends. 

I can not do this project alone. Money will go towards, mastering, duplication, musicians, album art, and random fee's like CCLI and to co-writers.
