About this project

Remember the movie Slingblade? Did you know they made a short film first? Oh, and Jared Hess made a short that later would become Napoleon Dynamite. These guys did it. And we want to be next.

The feature, 'November 13th', is a story of a rocket scientist who finds out through unscientific means that he's going to die in two weeks. This information propels him into a spiritual journey that he didn't anticipate or want. The film investigates whether happiness and peace can be found, given this sooner-or-later eventuality that we all face. The story is dark yet uplifting. Mystical but scientific. And funny. Through his journey he discovers everything as possibility, yet embraces nothing as solid fact.

The short film, 'November 1st', will be a high quality taste of what the feature will be. That's why we need your help.

We're going to pay our crew and cast. We have lots of locations. We have a giant dinosaur costume that needs to be built. And we're approaching name talent for the leads. All fun, all expensive.

So, let's make a film! By contributing to this, November 1st becomes your film too. Come with us on the rollercoaster ride called film making. We can't wait to see you at a screening near you!
