About this project
What is Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell?
To celebrate my 28th birthday, I'm renting a room, locking myself inside for five days, covering the walls with paper, and filling every inch of that paper with art. I might go insane, or it might be awesome. I'm inviting you along for the ride.
I'm interested in what happens when an artist leaves their studio, their cliches, and their comfort zone and draws beyond the limits of their endurance. I also want to see what tarts and squidbeasts look like frollicking on a massive scale.
During the week, amazing photographer Steve Prue will be documenting the art created, my increasing insanity, and the cast of muses, musicians and miscreants that comes to keep me company. We'll wrap this up into an art book, Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell, with a forward by Transmetropolitan creator Warren Ellis.
UPDATE: Because of the insane generosity of you backers, I'll be collaborating on a short film, "Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell" with wonderful filmmaker Ronen V and Dr. Sketchy's videographer Keith Jenson. It will be released online shortly after the week is done. Thanks for making this possible!

Why Should You Give Me Money?
I'm asking for your help to afford renting the room, paying Steve Prue, and for the giant paper rolls and 200 sharpies I'll blow through creating the art.
In return, you can buy, by the square foot, pieces of the Walls of Doom. This is probably the most affordable way to get one of my originals. Plus, I'll have a backers-only livestream so you can keep me company while I draw and offer suggestions. For backers at the thousand dollar level, come drink absinthe with me in person.

Other Questions...
When and where will Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell take place?
Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell will take place September 3-8 somewhere in New York City
What medium will the art be made in?
Black art marker on white butcher paper
What will you draw?
I'm not quite sure! There will probably be lots of insane animals, sinister girls, and squidbeasts, but I'm also interested in seeing what happens when I get beyond my stock characters.
Will you leave the room at all?
Nope! That's the insane part.
Why isn't the art book included as a Kickstarter reward?
We're exploring a few options for publishing Molly Crabapple's Week in Hell, and we're not quite sure when it will come out or what the pricepoint will be. We'd rather give you something immediately.
Will the livestream be 24/7?
Nope. You don't want to listen to me snore
Will you sign all the cuts from the walls?
Every last one
