About this project

Hi! Welcome to Rise of Saturn's shameless crowdfunding experiment.

We thank you in advance for your help, whether you helped spread the word or you donated $1,000. Every cent raised here will be put towards recording a 8-10 song album that we can be proud of and, in return, give back to all the people that helped us make it at our CD release show.

We are shopping this idea to a few studios in town and will make our decision pending all the funding. We have been recording the songs at our practice studio and are pretty close to being ready to record. We hope to get into the studio in mid-August.

Note that if we don't meet the $5,000 goal, we get NOTHING and the CD doesn't happen. Our label, Mohawk Bomb Records, is in danger of shutting down due to the tanking of the music business and lack of outside funding. This is our last-ditch effort to make a recording to help save the label and get us on track.

Here's a rough estimate of the costs:


  • $3,000 to record and mix (should by 80-120 hours of studio time, depending on studio picked)

  • $490 for Mastering @SoundLab, Discmakers

  • $1,510 towards CD manufacturing, t-shirts, processing fees and other promotional items needed for CD release

Anything over the budget will be used to either buy more studio time or put more towards promotions.

We will mail you a signed DVD copy of both these videos and upload them to YouTube. Of course, full props will be given to you. Plus, you will be able to sit on stage during the CD release show.
