Welcome to my kickstarter project, Vinyl Shine Prints!

I am trying to raise funds to complete a series of letterpress prints featuring vinyl records.

I went on a lot of car trips when I was young, and whenever I would try and concentrate on something inside the car, I would start to feel ill. So I would stare out the window and listen to the music- I loved it. I want each print to tell a story like this. To pinpoint a moment when life stopped and the music played on.

I would like to state that I love music- especially on vinyl. Because of this love, I only use records that are scratched or warped and are no longer friendly to my turntable.

I want this to be a series of 5 prints, with an edition of around 50 each.  Every print is inked by hand, every color run separately through my Poco Proof Press. I have one finished, one almost complete, and three more that I need your help with!

Through the process of fixing my press and attempting to fix another one, I have run through my savings. In order to complete this project, I need your help to buy a few essentials:

Paper!       

Ink!

Mailing Supplies!

A small set of cuts essential for 2 of the prints!

And the opportunity to frame one set of prints for display at the wonderful Sweet Melissa Records in Marietta, GA on July 1st
