Let's Make A Comedy Record Together!
I'm Mindy Raf. I'm a comedienne and writer out of Brooklyn, New York and this kickstarter project is on behalf of my comedic alter-ego, Leibya Rogers. Leibya Rogers is a poetic songstress, a vegan/anti-testosterone activist, and all around organic entertainer.
I'm attempting to raise $3,000 by Dec 23, 2009 to record and press 500 copies of a comedy album, LeibyaFair Live! on vinyl.
By donating, you will be an active part of the process and thus be entitled to many rewards. Look to the right! That’s where you find out how you’ll be rewarded when you decide to fund. EVERYONE who donates will get access to exclusive project updates via brand new Leibya Rogers poetry, songs, and videos. And of course the rewards get bigger and better as you scroll down.

A quick note: Why Vinyl?
I wanted to pay tribute to that feeling of listening to comedy on vinyl. That’s how I first listened to comedy. The presentation of a vinyl record, holding a record in your hands, the experience of playing a record, I think has been lost. I remember being at comedy clubs, performing stand-up shortly after I moved to New York, and seeing all the covers of comedy records decorating the walls and thinking to myself, “that’s what I want to do someday! I want to make a comedy record!”
