About this project
Philrose Productions is shooting an ultra-low budget horror feature entitled MIND RIP. We intend to capture the look and feel of 1970s horror films by using vintage shooting techniques like stop-motion animation, rod puppets and special make-up effects. Although computers will be used for composting and effects like fire and smoke, the concentration will be on the retro style of seventies movie making.
To this end, we hope Kickstarter can help us to raise money for special effects and art department. We recently unveiled a promotional trailer, which has received positive buzz on horror news sites. The trailer was also chosen to screen at festivals, including the New York Independent Horror Festival. Horror fans have so far loved what they've seen.
Our projected completion date for the film is spring 2012
