First and foremost - THANK YOU! Without people like you to watch our stuff, we definitely wouldn't be making it :)

We've all worked in retail, or at least know someone who has. Those countless hours behind a register, waiting to go home, knowing that you're barely making minimum wage. Have you ever worked with a 17-year old who ran an underground drug business in your store through the merchandise, indirectly and coincidentally convincing the employees that profits are up? Has a cult priest ever been employed in your line of work, outdoing you in sales and generously inviting you to his home to drink his special red punch? 

We got the idea for $1 Book Heaven because of these occurrences. There are so many stories to tell (IN FULL 22 MINUTE EPISODES) about the interesting characters we've worked with, and how awkward we've felt. By executing our vivacious and creative drive, we want to create a webisode series depicting these hilarious encounters to share with the world - scripts are written, crews are in line, and actors are cast. With the help of Kickstarter and you, we want to bring the story of an old bookstore and it's crazy employees to life with a comedic and unique approach to give your abs a solid workout.

This isn't just a show you can watch, it's a show that you can become a part of.  Each dollar you spend will be going toward making the project become an illustrative reality.  Your dollar(s) will go toward light & camera rentals (we need that), permits (we need those), art direction (to make things look like we're not shooting against white walls), and food for the crew and actors (caloric input + energy output = growth).  We need our crew big and strong to lift gear, and our actors to consume plenty of Vitamin E to keep their skin looking silky and smooth for our high-definition visual output.  Each of your dollars will also be calculated and placed in the reward system here on the right ----------->

So what happens after you pledge toward the production, you ask?  Each shooting day, we will have a behind-the-scenes cameraguy on set recording all the hilarious outtakes and interviews with the cast and crew.  After shooting is wrapped, we'll clip them up with more visual goodies and create a featurette for some special features on the DVD. We'll even stream live footage from the set via USTREAM during our shooting days, and provide updates on the daily!
