Hey all, since Kickstarter didn't work out we figured we'd bust a move and just get ourselves ready for pre-ordering! You can now purchase the game (and most of the same extra rewards we were offering through Kickstarter) at our new game website:

We will officially begin rolling in users in early June in order of signup, so get it while it's hot! As for development, we're still working hard on bringing new features to the game. We'll keep you posted!

Well, we couldn't quite make this Kickstarter happen, but we are supremely grateful to all of you for your support! We are looking into alternative means of funding, and we should have something ready very soon. We will keep you posted!

Wrapping it all up (and monsters!)

It's been a fun ride on Kickstarter - your support and enthusiasm continues to make us super excited to be doing what we're doing! Our funding gap here at the end is pretty big; there's a chance some magic could happen, but even if it doesn't, rest assured that we will be sending out info on an alternative way to help with the project. We've been working on Deepworld for a long time and we're not about to give up, no matter what! Our beta testers are already having a blast, so we certainly want to get the rest of you in the game :-)

In the meantime, we've got monsters now! Say hello to the "terrapus", a mutant land-octopus creature that is going to make you hungry for some calamari (or just a "Master Hunter" achievement). They'll be spawning in Deepworld very soon, along with a bunch of other baddies in not too long.

So stay tuned - we'll figure out what's next after tomorrow!

Also, Deepworld's achievement system is now ready to rock! We'll be adding all kinds of fun achievements over the next few weeks, so when all of you get in the game there will be some fun goal-based gameplay to experience. Achievement bonuses will also let you upgrade various skills in the game, so we'll see who gets to level 100 first!

Redditing, hackering, and a couple new features

Hey everyone, now that we're at the one-week-left point, we're jumping back into the hot seat on Reddit, Hacker News, and other places. We've got a ways to go, but we know we can pull it off with your help!

If you're a redditor, upvote our post and stop by on Friday after 12PM CST, we will be doing an AmA! Our focus will be about being game developers and former web developers, but if you want to ask about Arnold and his immense fluffiness, we will do our best to respond.
