Update #34: Welcome to 2012! VFX update
update from the EU!

from Mac:
Last night we shot some stills which we will use for a heavy intensive VFX sequence on the shortfilm. We needed to show the main character being hit by a truck, but how do you do that without killing him? Not easy. This is our 2 or 3rd attempt to get this done right, because it´s technically very difficult to accomplish (without a Christopher Nolan's budget) and also because yesterday it was like 15º out there with wind, and the actor had to be standing with just a Tshirt!!! We had two jet heating units and they both died... It was unbelievably hard to accomplish, but it seems we got something right.
Update #33: VFX Update with video/still looking for 3D people.
We have semi finished a few shots!
We are looking for people who are good 3D modelers/texture/rig people if you know anyone.
Here's the original concept art for one of the shots:
Here's a quick video of that shot finished:
Update #32: Happy Thanksgiving! and thank you
the VFX work continues!
Here's a recent concept SIMILO vehicle that is being worked on:

and a Behind the Scenes photo from the shoot:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Update #31: ongoing VFX work, and still looking for talented VFX genius
new update from Macgregor!

these 3D renders are by Artem Popkov.
We are still working here. There is still a bit to do but we are doing progress.
VFXs are slowing us down so much. If you know any talented VFXs freelancers please let us know.

We are also looking for a Scratch fluent colorist around LA for some help in the finishing.
Best, Mac

The model style is classy, material is looking a little too simple but that's probably because it's WIP. Keep it up!

Update #30: SIMILO - still moving ahead!

Update from Macgregor:
There´s not a single day we´re not working on Similo. 24/7.

Update #22: VFX and Online
We have gotten the scans back from the 35mm film that was shot for certain parts of the film. We are now getting the low-res edit we have replaced with the full-res files to create the master online. We have a couple VFX houses that are helping us get the film finished, but if you know of any really amazing VFX houses that might want to join the project, let us know.
Here's a recent shot of Mac doing some final color-grading of a scene.
Update #21: VFX
The journey of getting the VFX finished has begun. I'm sure Zac&Mac will have an update soon about some of the details.
