Arion Rashad says his stories are a kids fantasy, a fitting theme for the 12 year old author/illustrator of Mii Toons Comics.

My Mii Toons Action comics can best be described as a childs fantasy! All the characters are based on people I know, family members, classmates, teachers, even bullies. Most of them asked to be a part of the books which is what makes my comics so different. The term "Mii" comes from the Nintendo Wii game console which allows you to create an avatar called a Mii and participate in the games. The "Toons" part just fits with the child like images which make up the theme of the stories.

I really hope to inspire other kids like me to create comic books. I also hope kids my age will want to read comic books and not just go see the movies about comic book heroes. I love going to comic book stores, but I usually only see adults there. So if you're a parent, perhaps picking up one of my comics will inspire your kids to read and write more once they know the books are created entirely by another kid!

With the funds I raise from this project, I will be able to rent a table at local comic book conventions, which usually costs a few hundred dollars I think. Although my dad created a website where fans can buy my books www.miitoons.com , I need to have books, posters, t-shirts, trading cards, and buttons ready to sell when we go to the comic book conventions. I don't think the website is free either.

Another way I hope to sell my books is to make them available for purchase at book stores through online book distributors. So I plan to use the funds raised here to purchase ISBNs and Bar Codes. Since I have six books already, and I am almost done with number seven, these codes will add up to a few hundred dollars too!
