Wow, the campaign is almost over...but what a great run it's been! Only 2 hours left. Please share with anyone who may still want to donate and receive a free download of the film once it's released. Like others have stated, I'm really happy that you reached your goal ahead of time. Also, please let us know if there'll be a means to keep supporting your project once the Kickstarter part is complete. This could well involve other activities than donating money - donating time comes to mind for all kinds of outreach tasks to make people aware of the film.

I took some time today to walk around picking up plastic bottle caps and other small items from the street lest they wash into the rivers and down to the sea in the next rain. I've been doing that for years, and also picking up string and thread that land birds get tangled onto their toes, another great source of avian suffering.
It must be excruciatingly painful to die from sharp-edged man-made objects in one's crop and gullet as is seen in your trailer. Can't you get some humane vets or wildife rehabbers to volunteer to come euthanize those poor birds on Midway who are suffering in such pain, so that their suffering is less?

Ming Posa had a great idea for any teachers/professors 'out there': show some of the clips in class and start a discussion with your students. It doesn't have to be just in an environmental science class or even just a science class in general. What is being witnessed on Midway is symptomatic of much of humanity's impact on the planet. Sociology students can discuss this in light of human population growth, history students can talk about WWII and the present day situation on Midway, math students can use this as a basis for calculations on amounts of plastic, time/distance it travels, etc. and language arts students can use this as a prompt to write argumentative papers. In fact, this transcends nearly all curricular areas and cross-curriculum studies would be awesome as well. To the Midway Team: I would be happy to work with you all to develop educational activities that would align with your work and I'm sure we could get other curriculum experts to contribute as well. To everyone else: let's don't stop at $100,000! Keep pushing onward and upward!!

A suggestion for celebrity endorsement/publicity is Ellen MacArthur. She has visited South Georgia and obviously has a special connection to the Albatross of the Southern Ocean (one of which did a lap of Antarctica in 46 days)
