"Horizons on the Cellular Contraption" is a mixed media concept, which will incorporate Cell Phone Photography mixed with traditional/non-traditional art materials. Each cellular “Horizon” will be attached to a canvas, which will also be decorated using rusty nails, wire, various kinds of tape, spray paint, crayons, etc. Every piece will feature the date in which the sky was photographed.
The concept of this collection will be to demonstrate that our “Cellular Contraptions”, which distract us from our lives daily, can be used to create something artistic and beautiful, and can be used for more than texting and making calls or sending emails.
Funding will go to help purchase materials such as ink cartridges, paint, photo paper, etc. The end result will be a collection of about 20 pieces of work, and the collection will be entered for consideration in group art shows in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area.
