Well, if the preview night orders come in @ 8500, that will hit the plastic crates milestone, right? Looking forward to seeing the final bits next year. Seeing Belfort, I can tell that whatever happens, we'll get some really interesting bits to go with a game that already sounded like it would be a good fit in our gaming group. Congrats on breaking that barrier on Kickstarter for the airships.

@Nicholas--Thank you very much. I only gave the game a cursory glance, and that was the impression I got. I can't afford to back the game and receive a copy, but I may well invest in it once it is published. I live in a 5 person house, all gamers, and we love board games. :)

@Seth--My comment meant no offense. Thank you for your informative response! One of my roommates was looking at one of your older games with interest (ED) which we will probably try out first.

Congrats on the success of breaking the $10k mark almost four times over!

For several years now I've run an informal contest on BoardGameGeek to determine the 20 most anticipated games of the coming year... 2012 now.

We're in the nominations phase now, and you can second, third, ... the nomination for KoA&S here:

A final voting phase will follow when nominations are concluded.

@Vaugn "Settlers of Catan with a twist" is not accurate at all... unless by "twist" you mean "completely different type of game altogether." There's no random resource production in KoA&S, there's no trading between players either. you fly your airship around to collect goods, drop them off at your depots on the train lines, then deliver them to cities via your network of Depots (trains).

    12. Nickphoto.thumb
      Nicholas Vitek on December 12

@Vaughn, It is nothing like Settlers of Catan except they both have tiles. If you check out the available rules, you'll be able to see the differences.

@Michael -- From the appearance of the game, it looks to be Settlers of Catan with a twist. Is that accurate?

I think this will be a great game, but it seems as of late the buzz has died down a lot. The BGG buzz on this game has seem to of disappeared completely. I think if we had more art of the game to show. Something to catch the eye. Get people motivated to move on this game. It would be great if on the front page there was an inventory of all the components that will be in the box. A board mock up, what the components will looks like, what player boards will look like, even box art. I think the character cards that we have seen are nice but I know I would like to see a lot more. Anyway, here is to going well over $40,000.

FYI for those not familiar with TMG... I backed Eminent Domain on a whim and have since picked up 3 other TMG games in a bundle offer. The quality of production has been very very impressive. The rules have been clear and the games have been fun. Color me impressed for an indie shop. Nice work TMG, looking forward to KoAaS!

6 days to go, but we still have not seen any other art but the two cards. I hope that there is still some updates coming to keep people active.

BGG buzz for this game has almost dropped off the radar. We have to get the buzz going everyone, so we can at least hit 40k and get our plastic pieces. My wife was ready to drop like $300 on supporting this game, but she wanted to be immortalized on a game card. LOL. Guess my support will have to suffice.

It would be great to have some sort of "how this works" preview video for those of us who can't make it to preview nights or conventions. Realizing that the pieces are prototypes, it might give a visual idea of how turn orders work. I don't think it needs to be a whole game, but setup, some overview of turns with different actions, and (maybe) an endgame summary might help drive some interest. The reviews and chatter so far got me interested, but seeing it would be a nice addition to the project.

Will there be an opportunity to see images (concepts, proofs) of the rest of the game? Based on the card image roll-outs, I'm hoping that closer to the Campaign Close, we'll see the full game in all of its glory!
