Our 6 copies are having fun at the customs.
I live 160 miles from the customs office, so I HAVE TO send them an invoice in email to push my package through. I can't get an invoice from Amazon Payments (it is ridiculous).

I ASKED FOR A PDF INVOICE 8 DAYS AGO FROM TMG SUPPORT. Is anything happens there?

I waited MORE THAN A FREAKIN' YEAR for this game, how long will it take to get it???

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SEND ME AN INVOICE PDF!!!

I'm very very disappointed and pissed off.

This is my (our) worst kickstarter EVER.

Received my copy this week and was able to put it on the table last night. The entire group loved it. Only "issue" I had was that instead of getting 5 resources with 20 cubes each, I received 4 resources with 25 cubes each. Luckily there are so many bits in the box it was easy to substitute some replacements.

I have just unboxed my copy. The quality of everything in the box is excellent, the art fits the theme perfectly, and I cannot wait to get it on the table with my group. Thank you for the hard work and excellent communication through the process. It was well worth the wait for what clearly is a labor of love.

Just got my confirmation email sometime last night and it looks like my package is out for delivery today! Woo hoo! I have to say, Michael has been really wonderful throughout this project. I was getting worried that something had gone wrong with my order when I saw that everyone else was getting their copies. I sent him an email and he promptly looked into it and confirmed that everything was okay. Great customer service! I can't wait to play!!!

Well, game played today and I have to say the group was happy with the purchase. Played only the basic game to get a feel for the mechanics. There was still quite a bit of depth in developing a strategy to win. Have to rate this a good purchase.

Well, I won't believe it until the games are on my front porch tomorrow. That was a 3-pack of GF and one copy of KoAaS. Good thing too, as one of the copies of GF is a Christmas present. The same person received a birthday present from me a few years ago--Eminent Domain, which was about 5 months late. So I guess things are improving! I'm not in the complaining camp; I have been happy with ever TMG title I've bought since a friend and former game group member recommended Homesteaders. If I still lived in Tucson, I could go over to Michael's house and pick up my copy.

@Mathue, according to Michael's other responses, it appears that FLGS or non Kickstarters will be able to order the game from Amazon as soon as the KS are finished shipping, at the higher price. I wasn't really asking about the price though, I was asking about the availability. So I guess they will be available shortly...just like our copies...right???
@Michael Black. I couldn't agree more. What a mess this Amazon shipping has become. Hopefully they don't hold ours till June. Mindes already joked about them catching on fire at the wharehouse...it's almost in bad taste with this significant delay at this point.

@Jason (since Michael hasn't answered yet) - Not until June was a promise made to Kickstarter supporters during funding. If you go to the Kickstarter Home page, and look under "Our Pledge To You" then you'll find: "No online discounts will be available on Kings of Air and Steam through June 2013, except through Kickstarter. We have contracts in place that specifically address this."

Now hopefully, Amazon hurries their asses up and gets the games shipped! ;)

@Michael, I appreciate that KS will get their copies so far in advance, but why not till June? Seems like a long time to get the game into distribution. I'm sure my FLGS will be disappointed.

Well, Michael is now saying maybe 10 weeks if everything goes perfectly. That puts this game in 2013 now. I really hope TMG can use this project as an example of how not to execute a project in the future.

"Ground Floor, Skyline, and Kings of Air and Steam are all moving along at a good clip to be finished and deliverable in the next couple of months...The artwork for Kings of Air and Steam is all finished except for the game box... I know, I sound like a broken record. They are coming soon, and not soon-ish."

So no specific re-confirmation of November, but sounds somewhat on track I guess?

Well, if the preview night orders come in @ 8500, that will hit the plastic crates milestone, right? Looking forward to seeing the final bits next year. Seeing Belfort, I can tell that whatever happens, we'll get some really interesting bits to go with a game that already sounded like it would be a good fit in our gaming group. Congrats on breaking that barrier on Kickstarter for the airships.

@Nicholas--Thank you very much. I only gave the game a cursory glance, and that was the impression I got. I can't afford to back the game and receive a copy, but I may well invest in it once it is published. I live in a 5 person house, all gamers, and we love board games. :)

@Seth--My comment meant no offense. Thank you for your informative response! One of my roommates was looking at one of your older games with interest (ED) which we will probably try out first.

@Vaugn "Settlers of Catan with a twist" is not accurate at all... unless by "twist" you mean "completely different type of game altogether." There's no random resource production in KoA&S, there's no trading between players either. you fly your airship around to collect goods, drop them off at your depots on the train lines, then deliver them to cities via your network of Depots (trains).

@Vaughn, It is nothing like Settlers of Catan except they both have tiles. If you check out the available rules, you'll be able to see the differences.
