A simple accessory that allows you to mount your iPhone 4 to any magnified scope such as a telescope for photography.
Thanks for checking out my kickstarter page! The AstroClip is a simple attachment that mounts your iPhone 4 to any magnified scope such as a telescope or microscope. This allows you to easily photograph objects at high magnification with just your iPhone 4. There's no need for an expensive add-on camera.
HOW IT WORKS
The AstroClip is designed to work very easily. All you need to take great magnified pictures is your iPhone 4, the AstroClip and a scope. It's as easy as that. I designed the AstroClip to fit any scope with around a 1.25" eyepiece. This means it will work with all popular telescopes and microscopes.
PRODUCT DESIGN
The AstroClip is designed to be very minimal, while still being fully functional. The clip is very simple and rigid to hold your iPhone 4 steady and securely for the perfect shot. I also added the three adjustment screws that look like they're meant to be on a telescope. With the simplicity and functionality of the AstroClip you will be taking great photos of outer space in no time at all.
MANUFACTURING IN THE USA
With any project, quality is really the key to making a successful and long lasting product. So I've decided to keep all manufacturing in the USA. This raises the capital needed to complete this project, but the extra money is well worth the reward. I've secured great manufacturers that have extensive experience in making quality injection molded parts. Making great products is what I love to do so keeping everything in the USA is important.
WHY I NEED FUNDING
With my funding goal of $15,000, it will allow me to produce all the necessary molds for manufacturing and also keep everything Made in the USA. This is my favorite product I've developed and would love to offer this clip for all future models of iPhone as well. Thanks for checking out my project!

I designed the Astroclip to have a soft touch finish. This acts as a protective barrier against your iPhone and also gives a tight fit.

After funding the production process will take up to 2 months to complete and ship.

All you need is a telescope, the Astroclip, and your iPhone 4. Telescopes are very inexpensive now. You can find them on Amazon for around $100.

The AstroClip will fit any telescope with 1.25 inch eyepieces. This is the standard size for most brands.

The astroClip is designed to be a universal attachment for telescopes. Most telescope brands have a standard eye piece width of 1.25". The AstroClip will fit all major models with no problems.

For the moon shots I have in the video I used a 20mm eye piece. You can use higher zoom eye pieces to get close up shots and of other planets.
