About this project
My name is Mercy Bell, I'm a folk musician in Brooklyn, New York and I'm asking you to help me make an EP.
A lot of you have been asking me when I'll be able to have an EP available, up until this point I haven't had the money or resources to do so. But thanks to Kickstarter and all of you, I'll have the funds to do so. In return for your pledge you'll help create then receive a musical product in return.
For $5000 I'll be able to book and record 4-5 songs in a studio ($630 a day to record for 2 or 3 days), compensation for production team, rehearsal space, and full band plus extra instrumentals ($1500+ rates vary), mix and master those songs ($300 per song), and offer them as a digital download. It averages out to about $1000 per song, SO the more money I get the more music I can give you.
This is community endeavor! I already have a lot of friends helping me with this. Be assured your money will go towards helping a diverse array of small business and artists here in Brooklyn.
