Reading is one of the main ways in which we move from ignorance to knowledge. I have started a facebook group called Occupy Leaflets. We already have some great shared resources for posters that different groups can reprint and adapt but after looking for a couple of weeks I could not find anything similar for the sort of leaflets/flyers you can shove through strangers doors or give out in the street. As nobody seems to have done it yet I have taken the plunge with the FB group and registering occupyleaflets.net and occupyleaflets.org domains to act as repositories for the shared resource. Please consider joining and spreading the word. As the main-stream media seems reluctant to convey our message we need a way to reach the public directly. If there was a place to go where anyone can down load good quality information in a form that can be given out in the street then anyone with a printer can do their bit by printing a few hundred at a time and giving them out. Apologies if this is a little off topic but I thought you folks would be interested. http://www.facebook.com/groups/245499822188556/
Everybody who contributed, give yourselves a round of applause!
congratulations! I donated books I wrote to the library and it broke my heart to see it destroyed. I am donating to you, so others with remember it always!
Is done, Melissa! Good luck! Here is the link:

Totally awesome project--everyone spread the word!
Very excited by this project! My son's Friday treat is reading So You Want To Be A Wizard together-- I picked it up from the People's Library on Thanksgiving Day at Liberty Plaza. We're halfway through it, and I will be sad to finish it because then we will need to pass it on to someone else. Still, it's a way of helping the library reach the people, one book at a time.
