crosshatchr – thanks for the note. I'd been delaying in making an update until I had a ship date, but will update with that news to all backers, with some more info you all will need in order for me to make sure your physical rewards make their way to you. Unfortunately when the Occupy camps were dismantled over the end of 2011 and beginning of 2013, my distribution plan for getting the physical book out to people was radically altered, as I had no longer had an obvious way to ensure they'd make it into the communities we raised funds to send them to. I should have tapped the groupmind here for advice. Appreciate the nudge and reminder that I can do so. And I apologize for not raising that flag sooner.

there are 163 people who are owed an update at the least, since the last one was over a year ago. at that time physical books were imminent, but never since materialized. 107 of us pledged at a level to receive a physical copy, and have not received any update. another 56 people pledged at a level to have a physical book donated to an occupy library. have the books even been printed? who knows!

if the project failed or is on a long delay please communicate the status. it would take just a moment to keep your backers, who pledged over $10K, in the loop.

Reading is one of the main ways in which we move from ignorance to knowledge. I have started a facebook group called Occupy Leaflets. We already have some great shared resources for posters that different groups can reprint and adapt but after looking for a couple of weeks I could not find anything similar for the sort of leaflets/flyers you can shove through strangers doors or give out in the street. As nobody seems to have done it yet I have taken the plunge with the FB group and registering occupyleaflets.net and occupyleaflets.org domains to act as repositories for the shared resource. Please consider joining and spreading the word. As the main-stream media seems reluctant to convey our message we need a way to reach the public directly. If there was a place to go where anyone can down load good quality information in a form that can be given out in the street then anyone with a printer can do their bit by printing a few hundred at a time and giving them out. Apologies if this is a little off topic but I thought you folks would be interested. http://www.facebook.com/groups/245499822188556/

congratulations! I donated books I wrote to the library and it broke my heart to see it destroyed. I am donating to you, so others with remember it always!

Very excited by this project! My son's Friday treat is reading So You Want To Be A Wizard together-- I picked it up from the People's Library on Thanksgiving Day at Liberty Plaza. We're halfway through it, and I will be sad to finish it because then we will need to pass it on to someone else. Still, it's a way of helping the library reach the people, one book at a time.
