About this project
I work primarily in oil and enamel, fascinated with contrasts and dichotomies, from painterly brush strokes to smooth, and dimensional to flat. I also dabble in watercolor, India ink and photography. I believe my work expresses a deep approval for independence and is a tribute to being true to oneself in a society that screams homogenization and loss of individual identity. I express myself through my range of incomplete characters who symbolize the continual process of growth we all experience. Through the voices of flame haired girl, the mask, geisha girl and others I speak about the human condition.
I want to have approximately 10-12 large paintings (and one small one) scanned professionally (my largest painting is 120” x 54”), with a camera mounted scanner, in order to create archival quality prints accurate from 95-99%. I want to make my work globally accessible to my fans and the people who love it the most by selling it in high quality print form, which will allow for my artistic virus to spread more readily.

I am a studio artist: painter, I have been working on my own for about three years in Houston, Texas.
I am influenced by great music, I title my work from song lyrics, and I don't worry about my motivations, preferring to work intuitively, only later realizing what motivated a work. I never explain, simply because that would take away your ability to look at the work and make up your own mind. Without that interaction there is nothing. I enter another world while I am working, and I am trying to bring a little more back with me in each painting.
I sing in the shower and the studio, and carry a digital camera with me everywhere, it has become my sketchbook.
