Update #37: Three boxes of awesome
Lookie! Crappy cellphone picture, but you get the idea! Somehow, my 11-year-old lugged these three boxes (2 filled with Son in Sorrow, the other filled with Lovers and Beloveds for those who got the 2-book set) into the house.
So now I get to schedule the mailing party! yay!
I have been asked about the high-res graphics photos. I'm workin' on it, kids. I've had an enormous confluence of an election cycle in which I have a candidate client, ongoing sick kids (one after the other on a continuous loop) etc etc blah blah blah where's my frickin' stuff, I know. I hope to have it out soonest.
Update #36: Paperbacks on the way here!
Yay! I just ordered the paperbacks, some for you guys and some for me to have for sales--very few this time. Usually I keep a case of 20 lying around, but I'm staring at a bunch of "Lovers and Beloveds" that have been lounging around the house giving me lip and eating all my Doritos and watching Judge Judy, so no more of THAT, I tell you.
Also I finally found flat mailers I could afford for the posters. I have a silver sharpie, too, and I'm not afraid to use it. So pretty quick here packages should start flying out the door.
In not-at-all-related news, I have a new book out. It's ridiculous summer reading fun, an erotic romance called "The Mage's Toy" in a new line of erotic romance novels I'm doing called "Aria Afton Presents." (psst: I'm Aria Afton.) It's $2.99 and should make you giggle and d'awww a little bit. In other words, it's nothing like the History. :D
More later, folks!
Update #35: Drumroll, please...
Look what jut arrived! eeee! The cover this time looks good. I need to go through the interior, but so far it looks great. It's from CreateSpace. The books for direct sales, pre-sales (you guys) and Amazon.com will be printed by CreateSpace, and international Amazon sales and brick-and-mortar sales will be printed by Lightning Source.
You can't tell from the photo how vivid the color is. It's gorgeous. And I compared the spines; book one looks very nice next to it on the shelf. :) So! I'll be ordering all the copies next week! yay!
Update #34: Quick update: "Son in Sorrow" proof out for delivery!
Hey, guys, just a quickie update:
The paperback proof of "Son in Sorrow" is out for UPS delivery--a day early! Yay! When I get it, I'll post pics. Cross your fingers CreateSpace didn't screw it up. The online proof looked good, but I have had troubles with them in the past, so...
If it looks good I'll be ordering the batch right away! Then it's mailing party time. I hate mailing parties, but It Must Be Done. Maps, too.

Thank you! I may recruit a whole bunch of folks. I seriously hate mailing stuff and will need the push.

Update #33: Posters ordered!
Posters are on the way to me. They're pretty spiffy: The map against a black background with "The Greater Kingdom of Tremont and Litta: An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom" below in white. They'll be here within two weeks and then I'll begin shipping them out. I ordered extras in case anyone wants to buy one later. I think they'll be $4.95 plus shipping, the cost of which I don't know yet. Because they're 11x17 I can ship them flat!
I am thinking of autographing them in silver Sharpie. Any thoughts on that? Autograph? No autograph? buh?
Still working on the paperbacks. CreateSpace as usual is driving me nuts, but LSI is realllly expensive per-unit. I am thinking of doing the "dual printer" strategy, which would give readers outside the US a much better deal on shipping etc since they could buy it from local bookshops or regional Amazons (US buyers would be able to order direct from bookshops too). Obviously that doesn't apply to those of you who got the paperback via the Kickstarter! :) I'll keep you posted.
Oh, hey! Almost forgot! In case you've never gotten the ebook of "Lovers and Beloveds," it's free TODAY ONLY with a bunch of other great fantasy books for Tax Day!
More shall be revealed!

I vote for autographs. And second the motion for the use of a silver Sharpie. (-:

I'll probably send an email out to those affected and if I don't hear back I'm going to assume NO autograph. I'll mark you down as pro-autograph on yours. :)
