The bulk shipment of books has arrived in the US! They will be sent out via USPS over the next few days so there isn't long to wait now!

Hey backers!

Sorry it's been awhile since I last updated. I've been doing a LOT of packing. There have been some minor changes to our shipping plan so just to let you know how it's going:

UK: Your books have been sent to an awesome friend of mine in the UK. The packages should arrive at her place by the end of the week and then she will be sending out your books via Royal Mail.

Europe (excluding UK): Originally I was going to drop ship your books too but now I have been sending them individually via NZPost. Almost of all them have already been sent out, the rest will be sent in the next two days. If you haven't received your books yet, they should arrive in the next couple of weeks.

US/Canada: Your books have been dropped off for sea freight. Unfortunately, the estimated time of arrival isn't until the 25th of October. However, once they reach the US, they will be dispatched in approximately three days via USPS.

NZ/Australia/Rest of the world: Your books have been sent! If you haven't received your books already, they should arrive in the next week or so. 

We've also been taking photos of the packing/shipping process!

Above: These are some of the books for US. We had to sort them by zipcode and then by shipping zones for USPS. Sorting the US/Canada books took us a full weekend to complete.

Hey backers!

Good news – my new books are being sent to me in batches and so far so good! I have begun packing and sending out the ones for countries that I won't be sending in bulk to (check the last update for more info).

Thanks to those of you who have been sending me updated addresses. If your reward tier includes physical books and your address has changed since your survey then please email me asap with your name and new address.

I'll keep you guys posted as I send your books out! :D

Unfortunately we have had some delays.

Soon after my last update, I was checking the books and discovered that some of them were defective. The laminate on the cover had started peeling in many cases, and we realised we couldn't start sending them to everyone until we were sure of the quality.

We were pretty upset with the situation, but the good news is that printer agreed to do new covers, and we sent them all back to be fixed. The new covers have a UV coating instead of a laminate, so it won't peel, and the stock is better as well. I should be getting the books back on Monday. Overall we're about 2 weeks behind schedule, but I think it's worth it to make sure the books are the best quality they can be.

While the books have been away I've worked out my shipping plan:

US/Canada: As soon as I get the books back I will start packaging your books. They will travel to the US by sea freight, and then dispatched via USPS.

UK: Your books will be couriered to England, and then sent out via Royal Mail. This should take a few weeks (packaging, couriering, posting)

Europe (ex. UK): Your books will be couriered to Germany, and then the books will be sent through Deutsche Post in the second half of September.

NZ/Australia/Rest of the world: I will be sending your books out as soon as they arrive!

If you have already filled out your survey* but your address may change in the next month or so, email me your new address as soon as you can.
I'll post another update when the books arrive. I'm really sorry about the delay but on the bright side, you will be getting books that are actually of a higher quality than the original specs :)
