Stretch goal / extra funds
A lot of people requested a desktop version of Fictify. Although I am not knowledgeable enough about desktop software development (haven't done it since college) and can't set a realistic stretch goal, I can tell you that all the extra pledges beyond the funding goal will be used for development of desktop versions, starting with the Mac version, then PC.
PS: Thanks again to everyone. :)

One thing to bear in mind: when developing the cloud version, do remember that you want to make a desktop version as well. You should structure the code so that there is a clear separation between the functionality, which should be able to eventually become an API, and the user interface implementation.

That's the wrong approach. Nowadays, you can easily make an OS-independent app, e.g. in Java, but there are many options, including HTML5 as Joost suggested. And do NOT forget about Linux! ;)
I'm a developer. Talk to me when you're ready, I can help.

Would make me as a Linux user :-) very happy. If you are going to look into this I would not mind helping.

I don't know how that works, but I will research it.

How about going for HTML5 offline access? That would probably make it easy to wrap it up as a stand-alone desktop application.
