Update #2: New Trailer!
We've uploaded a new trailer, as promised!
You've spoken and we've responded. And while there is yet another(!) kickstarter video the works, we're feeling pretty good about this one. Amazing what a little text can do.
Thanks again, friends. Here's a great photo of Reni in a fedora (why not?).
Update #1: Update!
Thank you to those who have already become a part of Ruchiki!
We want to thank you, not only for the support and encouragement we've received, but for the wonderful feedback and advice so many of you have offered. Based on some of that advice, we're feeling a need to tell everyone a little more about the film. We've rewritten our synopsis, and are re-editing the video right away! Expect a new trailer in the next day or two.
There are some exciting things happening in the next couple weeks, as the campaign continues. This weekend, the incomparable Natti Vogel and our beloved Reni Mimura are recording a demo of the original pop-song Ruchiki is centered around. Get excited.
Soon after, we have a photo shoot with the extraordinary Gregory Goode--check out his portraits at gregorygoode.com (I love the second one of Gisele)--to shoot Reni for all of the posters and magazine covers that adorn the walls, magazine racks and billboards of Ruchiki.
We've still got a long way to go! Tell your friends, your friends' friends, and your enemies!
I'd like to offer you, in parting, a still frame from our recording of Richard Jordan's audition. This marked the very first moment we knew we'd found the perfect host of Eat It! (and, in fact, the first actor for our film). Just imagine Richard screaming: EEEEEAAAAAAATTT IIIIIITTTT!!!!!!!!
