Burger Chef is a short film about big dreams and fast food. The location and cast have been selected, and the project can begin filming about 30 days after we raise the money.

THE STORY

Frank is a brilliant young fast food cook who has built up a following of drive-thru connoisseurs, who come from miles around for his gourmet creations. Stuck working at a tiny diner in the smallest town in America, Frank hopes to one day get a job far away as a real chef.

Unfortunately Dave, his small-minded father and local mechanic, doesn't support Frank, and he's forced the young cook to quit the diner and finally join the family business.

Tonight is Frank's last shift as a Burger Chef.

But things get serious when Stone, an escaped prison convict, robs the diner at gun point. Frank and his friends try to appease him and are moments away from freedom, when the convict recognizes Frank as the town's aspiring gourmet cook. Now the real contest begins. Frank must create the burger of his life in exchange for the lives of his co-workers.

It's Iron Chef meets Tarantino as the clock ticks down, and sparks fly when Frank's father shows up for final tasting and judgement.

THE FILMMAKERS AND CAST

Matthew Scott, long time foodie, penned the script, and enjoyed twisting around all the mentor and antagonist relationships between the main character, his narrow minded father, the psychopathic convict, and the warden of the prison who has inadvertently set the entire situation in motion.

Mark Teague's 15-year career in the filmed entertainment business has culminated in founding Dreamhaven Studios. Mr. Teague has established his considerable reputation in the animation and special effects world by working with limited financial resources to deliver an end product of quality associated with much high-budget projects. He's worked on many film projects including Comicbook the Movie and Superguy. Mark has selected a fantastic shooting location and brought aboard Cliff Simon and John Thaddeus to star in the project.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa. At age 15, with all the turmoil in South Africa, his parents decided to immigrate to the United Kingdom. By the mid 1980's Cliff was performing all over the world in various stage productions as a dancer/acrobat, culminating in his dream role as a performer at the world famous Moulin Rouge, Paris in 1989. In 2000 Cliff immagrated to the US and soon landed a guest star role with Don Johnson on the hit TV series, Nash Bridges. A short time after that, he acquired the guest star role of Ba'al on Stargate SG1. Cliff's combination of charming bad guy charisma and wicked sense of humor made him a viewer favorite antagonist, keeping his character recurring for 5 seasons. In 2007, Cliff was brought back to play Ba'al in the Stargate SG1 movie called Continuum, which will be released in 2008.

Born in New Jersey, John's career started in the early 80s performing in local theater and then to the Off-Broadway stage. By the mid 80s he did the soap opera circuit scene and was cast in a few supporting movie roles; such as Tommy in "Sea Of Love" opposite Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin. In the late 90s he was cast in Ally McBeal as Michael Young. Since then he has appeared on over 25 television shows.

THE REASON

Burger Chef is one part comedy and one part drama topped with some thrills and a dash of romance. But at it's core, the film is about chasing your dreams and being who you're meant to be.
