About this project
Hello! We are entering into the final third of our campaign for fund to make "Is There Room 4 Me?" a grand-scale success. So far we've already succeeded because of our amazing friends, family, and fans who donated to this project.
What's been equally inspiring to us is the help many of you've given us in promoting our kickstarter. Many of you are better at getting the word out than us. A great big thank you for that as well.
Now that we're OVER our goal, we're considering hiring a PR company to help us garner reviews, radio-play, and other attention for this record. We simply couldn't have imagined having this opportunity, but you've made it possible.
We also hired on Carl Saff, an engineer who has mastered many amazing records, including many artists on Sub-Pop's label. We're thrilled!!! More to come,

We here at Julia Massey & The Five Finger Discount love making music. We love making it for ourselves, but we love making it for our fans even more. Over the last year, many of you have asked, "when's the new record coming out?" Well, we finally have an answer: August 6th!!
We've already completed the tracking and it's currently getting mixed by our dear friend Thomas Surprenant, but now we need to take the album to the next step. You know, the one that takes it from....
~your "personal favorite record because you know us" to
~your "personal favorite record that the rest of the world should know about, too."
That's why we've decided to launch a kickstarter. There are two steps we need your help with in order to make this the best record we have ever imagined. First, we need it mastered by an insanely good engineer. Second, we need to put the dang records together so that they contain all of our original artwork and lyrics.
We've already scheduled the mastering session, and the artwork is in place. Now we just need your help to make it all happen. We think that when you see the final product and know you were a part of it, that it'll make your hearts sing (and your voices too when you croon with the record).
We are thrilled to invite you to become involved in this process, and feel eternally grateful for your support at every level. We truly cannot do any of this without you.

We'll blow it in Vegas!
Just kidding. We'll use it towards upper level promotion of the record that our backers are already supporting. More specifically, we'll hire a PR company to get the album heard by reviewers on blogs and magazines so that we have more exposure on the music biz front.

As soon as our album is in our hands, we will already have the mass-mailings piled up in Julia's apartment. Our plan is to send them out one week before the CD release (August 6th) and no later.

We, the band, will come to a location of your choosing in the greater Pacific Northwest area and play a concert in your honor!!! If you don't live in the NW and want to pay for us to fly to your location, we'll need to talk about renting the musical instruments. We'll also need to talk about how awesome you are.
