About this project
I am creating a new interactive music video for the Japanese indie band SOUR (http://sour-web.com/ ), and would love to have the support from the creative enthusiasts at Kickstarter.
The previous video that I made for the band entitled SOUR 'Hibi no Neiro' (Tone of Everyday) has been recognized in many international award shows including Annecy Animation Film Festival, UK MVA, One Show Design, ADC, and has gained over 3 million views on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch...). For this video, we had $0 budget, and so we recruited actual fans of the band via social networking sites, and filmed them entirely on webcams. After the launch of the video, we had many people raising their hands wanting being in the next video, so this time I am going to make it possible for anyone to join in.
The song 'Utsushi Kagami' (Mirror) sings about the fact that everything and everyone around you is a mirror that reflects yourself. You can find who you are in the reflection of others. These lyrics sounded to be a great opportunity to create a fully interactive music video, collecting all the different datas on your social networking sites and using it as a platform of entertainment. Every viewing experience will be personalized based on your social network status.
Since the programming needed to produce this video is highly complex, I wont be able to create it within the $0 budget anymore. The money raised through Kickstarter will all go into the production budget, and be used purely to pay the programmers and film staff that will be creating the video with me. This time, I will be directing along with 2 amazing directors/programmers Qanta Shimizu (http://www.shiroari.com/) & Saqoosha (http://saqoo.sh/a/...).

SOUR (http://sour-web.com/ )の新しいインタラクティブミュージックを制作しています。そこでKickstarterに集まっているクリエイティブを愛する方々から援助をいただけたらと思って、ここにプロジェクトを始めることといたしました。
前作「日々の音色」はアヌシー国際アニメーションフェスティバルやUK MVA、One Show Design、ADCといった世界的な賞をいただくことができ、YouTube上でも300万回以上の再生をいただくまでになりました。このビデオは予算がないことやバンドを直接撮影できないといった挑戦を逆手にとって、キャストをソーシャルネットワークサイトで募ったり、全編をwebcamで撮影することで完成しました。ビデオのリリースの後、多くの人から是非次のビデオに参加してみたいといった声をたくさんいただいたので、今回はそれを実現させようと思っています。
今回ビデオに使用する楽曲は「映し鏡」というタイトルの曲になります。あなたの身の回りにあるモノや人、そのすべてがあなたを映す鏡であり、そこに映る姿を見て自分自身が誰であるのかを知ることができるといったことを歌っています。この歌詞を聞いたとき、インターネットのソーシャルネットワーク上に転がる自分/個人のデータを集めてそれで何かエンターテイメントを作れないだろうかと考えました。このコンセプトを元に、その人のソーシャルネットワーク上での状況によってそれぞれ全く違った視聴体験ができるようなコンテンツを作っています。
今回はかなり高度なプログラミングを要するアイデアになっているため、予算がない中での制作はかなり厳しいものとなっています。そこでKickstarterによって集めたお金はすべてプログラマーなどにお支払いするプロダクション費用に回したいと思っています。今回は清水幹太さん (http://www.shiroari.com/) とSaqooshaさん (http://saqoo.sh/a/...
