I see your sizes for shirts and jackets on the front page (and I've read all of your website as well), but perhaps I'm missing the part that states how long they are. I'm wider in my hips than in my chest, and I'm afraid that the shirts won't button at the bottom as well as the they, the vests, and jackets will ride up (like my current men's wear) to above my hips because they aren't wide enough at the bottom to accomodate my hips. That if I get something big enough for my hips, it'll be too big for my chest, and if I get something small enough for my chest, it'll ride up over my hips and butt. I guess that's my biggest concern and I'm wondering how you're accommodating (if at all) for that.

Cable Flame: I hope that our sizing strategy will work for you. Of course, there are no standard sizes - for 6 billion people, there are 6 billion body measurements. We've put a lot of thought into this... fingers crossed. Our sizing information is on the front of the Kickstarter page, or I can email it to you if you prefer..
Danika: To add a vest to your suit, increase your pledge by $165.
Katrina and Ondine: Kickstarter prohibits anything that looks like or smells like a raffle, discount, coupon - anything where you are contributing to a "chance." But, I'm working on a plan to simply donate a suit to a nonprofit so that people don't have to feel obligated to contribute to it, which is the part KS might object to...

When I heard about this project, I don't remember if I shouted for joy or cried out of relief. As a genderfluid person, and one that struggles to feel like a "real" man when I'm a guy, it feels like a sign that "you're not really a man" and "you don't belong" when I go shopping for guy clothes and nothing fits. I'm short, fat, and curvy, with wide hips, a narrower waist, and large breasts/chest. (Which is *great* when I'm presenting female/femme, but makes it very difficult to present male/masculine or butch.) I'm so glad to see Mitch as one of your models (Mitch is quite fetching to boot!) and to see that you have 2 baseline suits (you get that you can't just size up! Why does no one else get that?) but from the pics I see of Mitch, they seem to have a chest/hip/waist ratio that's closer together (more AMAB? more "apple"?) instead of the more hourglass figure I have. PLEASE tell me that you're making suits that'll give masculine lines to people with hourglass figures? My problem is usually shirts and vests and jackets don't fit over my hips, or if they do, they're way too big in the chest. Not to mention problems getting pants to fit right.
I'm planning on getting one of your suits when the pop-up store comes to my town and I'm looking forward to that day as a kinda bar mitzvah... the day I'll finally become (and be accepted as) a man. I would just be crushed (and would certainly cry right there in the store) if your suits didn't fit me right in the chest/hips/waist (I already know the arms and legs'll have to be taken in... never bought a piece of clothing that it didn't need to be)... it would feel like yet another statement that I can never be a man, which I know is the exact opposite of the kind of thing you're trying to bring about.

This project rocks! Discovered it by knowing Kelly. My spouse is a very full figured woman who has had to have major alterations done to the very fly suits she buys. She will be a customer for sure. Have shared it with others who will be interested. Please consider in your designs the kind of suits you can find at stores catering to well dressed black men - might have been called zoot suits back in the day - lots of colors and coordinating pieces, including hats.

Ondine - that's a great idea. I think it should be something that can be easily enough done. Just increase your pledge and when payment time comes through, let Mary know (if they want to go with the idea) that you'd like to pay it forward for someone else. I'm not sure how someone would identify/choose those someone elses, though.

Mary, if there is another upgrade option that comes up, I would recommend a "gift to a Saint" fund for un- or underemployed Saints who cannot now afford the full suit but would really benefit from having one. Not sure how you would handle that, but it would be cool if you could work it out, and I know I feel like I have earmarked enough for myself for now and would really like to be giving for someone else's sake.
