Welcome to my little corner of music on Kickstarter and thank you for checking it out! I've spent the last few years creating and putting together nine of the lushest, fun, and hopefully, the most inspiring songs I could create. My producer/husband, Chris Jacks and I, with help from my studio magician/brother John Abella, produced and recorded these songs with painstaking love and attention in our home studio with absolutely no budget. We're very proud of the work we've done so far and want to make it available to the listening public. To do that, we need to mix, master, and duplicate the songs so they can be shared with you. And of course, that costs money. We've partnered with kickstarter to help raise the funds before February 16. But if we don't raise the total before then, we don't get anything, regardless of what's pledged. (But we can go over the amount we want to raise.)  With your help, we can release these songs. What the &%#@ are we trying to do?

We're raising money to pay for mixing, for mastering, for the artwork and to duplicate CDs. We're raising the bare minimum to ensure that we can release the album, but if we raise $1000 more, we will be able to make vinyl records. I've never made a vinyl record before but believe that the songs are sonically interesting enough that they could really benefit from being heard at a higher quality audio level. (Listen to some of the songs we've rough mixed so far and tell me what you think.)  When we're done with the album, we're going to make it available everywhere we can. My personal dream and vision is that these songs will connect with listeners and inspire and encourage them... or just keep them company while they're living their lives.

Who the &%#! are we?

I'm a singer songwriter, indie pop, alt rock musician based out of LA.  This is my third album and has been my most challenging. To get this album done, I lived way below poverty level, and challenged myself to keep recording despite emergency surgery, continuing health problems, car problems--you name it. My dream was to finish recording the tracks by the end of 2011 and I did it!  I had enormous help from my beyond talented producer: the musical genius and rock god, Chris Jacks.  His uncanny ability to know when the songs should breathe or when they should fill up the entire universe shaped the album in ways that surprised me. He has credits too long to list (just google him). We are/have been working diligently to bring you this album and hope you will help us do that.

How we plan to thank our supporters

We've created a list of rewards that we think are unique to show our sincere appreciation for everyone who is willing to contribute. I'm especially excited to do things like create a songbook for you, do skype concerts, make lyric sheets and all the creative things we can do beyond just offering the album itself. And if we raise more than our target, we will be able to release the album on vinyl, too. If we don't reach our goal, though, we get nothing--boo!  I hope you will join us in setting these songs free and that funding this project will be a deeply rewarding experience for you!
