About this project
Since touring the country for years, I've had mothers all the time come up to me and say, "my child knows your voice", "we play your music for my child and it calms them down". We've been asked time and time again, "when are you going to do a children's CD?" Well, this is it!!! The wait is over. We are recording a collection of songs that will include traditional as well as original lullabies.
"These are the songs that we sing to our kids and have since they were babies."
Even now, I put on our CD's as the kids go to sleep at night. Wilson our 6 year old son especially always wants to hear music as he goes to sleep. I've put some other kids lullaby music on for him and he complains that it sounds too baby.
The Martha's Trouble lullaby album will be a collection of music that works not only for babies, but for older children as well. In order to do this, we need your help! We have lots of rewards to say "thank you" for making that pledge.
In this busy world that our kids are growing up in, we all need a little peace and we hope that this music will bring a little of that to your child at bedtime.
Here's How You Can Help
1. Pick a reward to the right and make a pledge. (if we don't reach our goal of $10,000, you don't pay anything) NOTE: All reward packages will shipped at least 1 week prior to the release date, May 8, 2012.
2. Tell your friends, family, and neighbors. We need as much help as possible. We are hoping to far surpass the $10K goal. Tweet it, Facebook it, Blog it, Talk it....
coming Mother's Day 2012
Martha's Trouble does not have the support of a label. Everything we do is 100% DIY (do it yourself) which means, we can't do this without you!
Every penny raised will be used to pay for the recording cost, studio engineers, producer, musicians, mixing & mastering engineers, graphic designers, art illustrator, CD manufacturing, Publicist to promote a National Release Campaign to Women's Magazines, Parenting Magazines, Morning TV AND MORE
"Dreamland has come and it is peaceful, it's where imaginations fly.
These safe and loving arms that keep you, will always be by your side." - Martha's Trouble

Connected as Jen Slocumb (1146 friends)
The duo now lives in Auburn, Ala. Not exactly where they pictured themselves, but they wouldn’t give it up. Jen, from Ontario, Canada, and Rob, from Nashville, TN, are sure they’re where they are supposed to be. Everything the couple has done has been in pursuit of a musical dream, one that, so far, has paid off.
The past five years have been crucial for the duo. In addition to sustaining a career in music, Jen and Rob Slocumb started a family and are raising their two children – Wilson, 6, and Emery, 4. The time between albums allowed the couple to focus on their family and spirituality, both setting the tone for their release of “Anchor Tattoo.” (Feb. 1, 2011)
"With its 10th album, "Anchor Tattoo," the Alabama-based husband-and-wife duo Martha's Trouble continues to intensify the mystery as to why it remains a hidden gem." - BILLBOARD MAGAZINE
