1. I'm making a NEW RECORD in BOSTON To be released (cross fingers) in February 2012. YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT!!
2. A team of professionals is helping me make a SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM which will be a companion DVD to the new record. My Boston friends are incredibly important & inspiring to me and I want to share this with YOU by interviewing the characters in the project and community and showing you behind the scenes of the making of my new record!
3. I'm REALLY EXCITED to share this record & film with you!

WHY BOSTON? I've been traveling to Boston for 8 years and am honoured to have been adopted by the incredible music community in Cambridge/Somerville. I've met so many people I admire and have grown so much as a musician as a result of all my visits there. I'm a HUGE FAN OF ALL THESE MUSICIANS who are playing on my record. Truly can't believe this is happening.

WHERE WILL your MONEY GO? I've set the goal at $20,000 to help cover the costs of the record and film but the ACTUAL COSTS will end up being just over $35,000! By combining the success of my last two pre-order campaigns (THANKS SO MUCH!!) with all of the incredible listeners and supporters I've met over the last 2 years, I'm hoping we'll reach and even SURPASS the set goal! (crossing all appendages)

Born and raised on Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island, Rose Cousins lives in Halifax Nova Scotia, and is a vital part of the thriving East Coast Canadian music scene.
Her first two full length albums won multiple awards in Canada and she has been steadily building a following in the United States by constantly making music and touring with colleague across the country.
Rose has collaborated with Canadian greats Joel Plaskett, Luke Doucet, Melissa McLelland, Kathleen Edwards, Jenn Grant, Tom Wilson (Blackie & the Rodeo Kings), Ron Sexsmith and American stars Kris Delmhorst, Mark Erelli, Jennifer Kimball, Rose Polenzani, Darrell Scott, John Gorka, & Eliza Gilkyson.
Rose is currently working in her third studio album in Boston, MA. Zachariah Hickman (Josh Ritter Royal City Band) is producing this project which will also feature an incredible cast of musicians from the rich Cambridge/Boston community.
