About this project
Hi there, my goal is to create a new album, featuring Jazz, R&B and Original music. I really want this to be my breakthrough album. Know that my project and my music is a hybrid, including not only jazz but also soul and R&B. With the right material, we can make an amazing album. I already have two albums with a licensing company. I am looking to provide them with more material to place in film and television. More material could make my music, and this album, high profile. I have worked with some of the greatest musicians in the world and will use big names to record in LA and in Cleveland since I am bi-Coastal.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, this former traffic reporter and disc jockey lived in Los Angeles for eleven years and sang venues like The Ritz Carlton, The Four Seasons, Chaya of Beverly Hills, and The Torrance Civic Center to name a few. She has released three albums: No Frills, Free As A Dove and Chasing Dreams. Chasing Dreams includes drummer Ndugu Chancler and bassist Alphonso Johnson to name a few. Free As A Dove included guitarist/arranger J. Curtis, who wrote Where Is The Love for the Blackeyed Peas.
Maria opened for jazz trumpeter Chuck Mangione and she was featured with the opening act for Bob Dorough. Free As A Dove is heard worldwide on internet stations and traditional stations in Los Angeles. Some more traditional stations that Chasing Dreams can be heard on include WKHR, WCLV, KJAZ, KPFK, UNLV, WWOZ, WDNA, WUSF, WEMU, WTEB, WRTI, WAER to name a few.
