About this project

"Mass Transit II" will be a sequel to and expansion of my first independent poster map project, which was highly praised by the Star Wars miniatures community when it was published last year. The artwork for this new poster is already finished and waiting to be sent to the printer, and in my opinion is some of the finest work I've ever done.

I illustrated the official Star Wars miniatures poster maps for the life of that product line, and would love to keep making new maps for the gaming community. I'm really proud of the work I've been doing--but with the SW miniatures game going out of print this month it's hard to judge how much support there is for new sci-fi poster maps compatible with that game.

This double-sided poster measures 22 x 34 inches, and is designed on a 1-inch grid. It features fine colored lines to indicate different types of terrain, which are handy if you're playing a game that uses that sort of thing, and easily ignored if you're not. The maps will be printed on glossy heavy poster stock, folded, and packaged in a clear envelope along with a free 5x7 inch terrain card printed on the back of a cover insert. The terrain card can be used to customize the maps during gameplay.

The Cargo Docks side depicts a freight storage area complete with a crane control room, a warehouse, an armored truck, and a veritable labyrinth of massive cargo containers. The Offworld Transport Facility presents a boarding station for passengers preparing to embark on any sort of voyage, whether it's across the planet or throughout the galaxy. Both maps line up seamlessly with some previous maps I've illustrated and published, to create an enormous railway complex.

Funds collected by this Kickstarter project will be used to pay for the print run of this poster. Everyone who pledges $14.00 US (or more) will be entitled to a copy of the finished product after the pledge goal is met, with other benefits outlined on this site. Note that this is a great way to get free shipping, and be one of the first to get to play on these maps!

The pledge goal has been set to cover the printing costs of this project and expected shipping expenses to backers. After the pledging period ends and I receive the funds, it may take a few weeks for the printer to finish production and deliver the posters. I'll begin sending them out as soon as the product is ready; backers will be sent their copies before the remainder of the print run goes on sale through my website.
