Kickstarter

The idea of this book originated in a classroom at the Joe Kubert Art School, where I was a student back in 2006. At first it was simply an assignment that I didn't think twice about expanding upon, but when one person after another told me they loved the concept I developed, I decided to take a more serious look at the possibility of making it into a full blown horror comic.
This book will satisfy the fans of classic horror icons as well as those who adore modern horror tales. It has everything from werewolves to vampires, from the walking dead to sea creatures and everything in between. This story has been developed over a four year period and from the reaction gained by anyone made privvy to it, it's going to be a great success! And once it is, I have no intention of stopping with one issue or settling for it only being a comic book.
The plan is to finish the first issue, which will be in a graphic novel format consisting of 48 pages, and take it to the road. I will be pushing it at every horror and comic book convention that I can possibly travel to as well as internet marketing and going through various other channels including celebrity endorsment, magazine advertisement and book store signings.
The funding of this project will support not only the basic production of the title, but also the marketing, advertising and traveling to promote it. The production will include other parties being hired to letter the book, the publishing fees and (hopefully) a guest artist doing the cover. Not to mention shipping costs to send out rewards!
