About this project

Did you ever find yourself sitting in your home, doing nothing in particular, and suddenly you've picked up a new hobby to pass the time? That is how the Octobloops were born. Out of a pile of yarn and a lot of spare time came these loving plush with a penchant for sitting on people's heads.

Over the last couple of years I've had the pleasure of introducing thousands of people to the fun, squishy nature of the Octobloop. Now I'm ready to expand past plush and make jewelry so people can take them along where ever they go.

The goal is simple; we want to take our graphic designs and turn them into acrylic jewelry and cell phone straps. These pieces will be waterproof, easy to clean and durable. The artwork will depict Octobloops of various colors and in different styles. From Pirate and Cat Octopus to our classic smiley face style, we want to have a nice variety right from the start.

We will be going through a professional printing company based in Chicago, originally founded by artists like ourselves that we had the pleasure of meeting a few years back(and totally rock, I might add).

The donations will be used to fund the production of at least 10 different designs that will measure 1inch-1.5inches. This will give enough for 1000-1500 pieces to be turned into various forms of jewelry. These designs are still being finalized and will be shared as soon as possible. Our banner reflects the art style that will be used for them.

I also hope to keep very active through the length of the project and beyond, offering updates on the art, where I'm posting info on the project and things of that nature.

In the future we hope to look into t-shirts, bags and other such items and it will all be possible if we can make our goal on this project.

It will be a dream come true to see our art on jewelry, being worn by people and bringing smiles to their faces.

So if this seems like a project you can get behind, please consider donating to the cause and be one of the first to receive some awesome, colorful, Octobloop swag of your very own!
EDIT: I want to clarify something very quickly, I have set the donation tiers up in such a way that these are essentially pre-orders. I have tried to match the value of the pieces to the value of each donation tier. The benefit of ordering now, aside from helping make this possible, is that you will not have to pay for shipping.

The rewards were written up when I wasn't doing math properly(do I ever?) and so one of the tiers is slightly off. As someone has donated to this tier, I can not alter it. Consider the following the update to that mistake:
Anyone that donates $50 will receive 5 CELL PHONE STRAPS/RINGS, 1 PAIR OF EARRINGS AND 1 NECKLACE.

Manifested Dreams

Hi there! I'm a textile artist with a focus on Amigurumi(Japanese tight crocheting). I love working with bright colors of all sorts and in any medium, be it clay, jewelry, chainmaile, sewing or drawing. I travel to various anime/manga conventions around the country and sell my art in the Artist Alleys.

I am also the founder of the "Bloop on Head Project". See my icon? That is an Octobloop. I'm sure you are wondering what Octobloop like to do in their spare time(Wait, you weren't wondering? I bet you are wondering now!...right?...maybe?...). When not searching for glorious sugar stars they enjoy to perch atop a person's head. They find that people make wonderful accessories and go on many adventures in search of that perfect person. BOHP is a project where people send in photographs of them and their Bloops in various places, doing various things, all while having a Bloop on their head.

When I am not preparing for my shows(Or spreading the gospel of Bloop) I enjoy playing video games, reading and listening to music. You can also find me in my kitchen or at various restaurants, having epic food adventures.
