We want to offer live music on the plaza every Thursday Night from May-September. Live music from awesome local bands.
KENT OH: We will be hosting "Thursday Night Live" music concerts on the plaza (Hometown Bank Plaza) every Thursday night. Our goal is for the concerts to run every Thursday from June through September in downtown Kent Ohio. We started this series last August with great success and would like to make this an every Thursday event (with once a month the concerts being hosted by Hometown Bank in their Heritage Concert series). Some of our featured bands last year included the Xtra Crispy (below), Lazy Susan, Lazy Dog, and Vinny Monteleone (below). We feature local musicians and bands of all genres.
All the funds raised will go towards the event. Only a maximum of 15% of the funds will be used for administrative costs. We need to raise a minimum of $4500 in order to make Thursday Night Live happen this year.
Kent Ohio is a fun town that loves music, arts, and the outdoors. Home of Kent State University, we have an eclectic mix of people with a large population of aspiring artists and musicians. Our downtown hosts no less than 2 full service music shops, 3 music recording studios, 3 live indoor stage venues, 3 art studios, and more. Downtown Kent has something for everyone.
