Bony Levi is the result of an experiment gone horribly wrong during the Korean War. She is a half human half zombie who can regenerate.
The goal for The Misanthropic Misadventures of Bony Levi is to get the first issue completed, "Bony Goes to Prom". We will take the issue around, personally to all of the comic book stores we know. Our great hope is to be able to create a whole series of comic books based on the character of Bony.
Once we're happy with our first issue we will send it off to one of those great companies that allow you to print a limited run of comic books. We're thinking a thousand or so and then it's all about the phone calls and the mailing. It sounds like a lot of work but it's what I consider great fun. Not to mention we'll have a reason to frequent all the comic book conventions and meet anyone who helped get this project "kickstarted".
A personal note from Magen;
I wrote the script for "Bony Levi Goes to Prom" over 2 years ago. I have two other scripts for her completed but this was the best one. My last two years have been spent trying to pair up with the perfect artist. It was difficult but I have finally been able to attract an artist that understands the concept and will take the time to really make it good. Now that I've met Stephanie I don't want to lose her. I think she is incredibly talented and very easy to work with. It's as magical as meeting your dream date. Together we will bring Bony to life!
I just want to say thanks again for looking at the project. I loved making it and I can't wait to get her out in to the world. And, also, once Bony Levi is wildly successful I am throwing a prom and we're gonna do it right this time!
