What we're up to...

MADboots dance is applying to perform new work in choreographic festivals as an emerging ensemble. These festivals are the initial platform for exposure to the contemporary dance scene in New York City. Through these performances, MADboots will be able to push our creative voice out into the dance community to reach new audience members and showcase our choreographic imagination.

What your money can do...

Contributions through Kickstarter will help cover required application and production fees to participate in choreographic festivals. In order to facilitate the creation of new work, studio space for rehearsal is absolutely vital. Additional expenses include: costuming and DVDs of festival performances. Any supplemental pledges to our goal of $1,100.00 will go towards building the future of MADboots dance.

Artistic Statement...

It is MADboots dance co.’s mission to question the physicality of artistic expression & push the envelope of movement invention. Through creating complex and theatrical works steeped in athleticism, humor & subtly, MADboots thrives in the collaborative imagination of Jonathan Campbell & Austin Diaz. Often musically driven, the work revels in antithetical aesthetics & uncomfortable realities. It is the company’s collective responsibility to invest in the creative growth of the individual artist & the community of dance as a whole.
