The Resourceful WRENCH You mind, your physical footprint, and appreciate a great quality PDF. At this level you'll get a fully indexed, hyperlinked PDF of the Flatpack: Fix the Future core rules in both full fancy color, or printer/file size friendly version. But that's not enough for you! We'll also be giving you the Flatpack Catalog. That's a printer friendly PDF Catalog of all the Flatpack building game pieces in easy top-down format to print, cut out, and use in your game!

The Nostalgic WRENCH You remember the good old days, when game books were physical, and everything was better with supplements. No problem! At this level you get all that new fangled PDF stuff and the physical core book, but that's not all. For going the extra mile, we'll include a physical copy of the Flatpack Book of Puzzles (working title) which will be page after page of ways to use real world games and puzzles in your adventures in the Optimistic Apocalypse. Checkers, Chess, Go, Three Minute Mysteries and Word Games can all work in place of mechanics, and this book explains how! (With tips on using the same techniques in other roleplaying games)
Pledge $70 or more Pledge $70 or more
Retailer WRENCH: This is for stores wanting to carry Flatpack: Fix the Future. We'll provide six copies, shipping included within the USA. We'll be marking them for retail at $21.99 unless something unexpected happens and we can afford a super big print run. You could sell them for whatever you want, but we think $19.99 is a great, square number. Also, we back all our products with PDFs. So, you can work that out with us directly, or through the bricks and mortar initiative.
Pledge $100 or more Pledge $100 or more

It's been a wild ride. Super busy. Still fighting with printer on books, while trying to get baby sorted out.
Any update on the bundle of joy for your family?
Kevin: I expect to have books in hand by the end of May. We're having the baby mid-May. So, barring unforeseen circumstances. We got the proof, and there's a few things we definitely want to tweak before we get copies out to you guys.
I ask because the FLGS I work with really would like to show off the deliverables at Free RPG Day and play in a session. He really likes what he has read so far.
Stuff from PAX looks great. Thanks for posting.
With the baby demanding attention from within the womb, are you able to forcast modified delivery dates?
http://machineageproductions.com/2012/04/updates-farewell-to-fear-flatpack-guestbook-pax/
Yes. Minor news. Sorry, it turns out, the new baby is taking our time, and it's not even born yet! But, we're working on it.
Any news?
Sounds great. We'll let you know when we do the shipment. It's different everywhere, so it's hard to really project that sort of thing.
I only dropped $21 since I didn't see anything about extra being needed for postage. I'm in NZ, and I'm skint until the 15th. I can find a way to get you extra if needed then.
We're over $7,500! 3D printer and surprises!
Mark, we'll let you know! But that should cover it! Thanks!
I've added a little more for postage as I'm in Australia. If it's more than $10 I can pay the difference.
Okay! I'll hold you to that!
Torolf! Hi!
The lunch boxes are just.. you know... old school metal lunch boxes. They'll be about 8.5 inches wide, 6.75 tall, and 4 deep. That'll hold your game pieces, but not the book itself nor big old text books. If there's a secret compartment, let me know! And if the apocalypse happens, and the lunch box doesn't make it, drop me an email and I'll give you your money back!
What will the dimensions of the lunchbox be? Could it double as game-storage stuff? Would it be large enough to hold textbooks as well as lunches? Any secret compartments? Will it be strong enough to survive the apocalypse?
THANKS!
I can totally do that for you!
That'd be nice. I think receiving a personalized copy of the book (and/or personalized box) would be great.
Best!
Kairam, would it help if we numbered the boxes? The Kickstarter will tell me straight up what order you all jumped on board.
OK. but one of the things that really got me interested was the collectible aspect of the reward. I wish we early WRENCHs got something special.
Nope. We only intended on doing 10. But the demand was so high, we had to do more.
Will there be any difference between the first 10 boxes and the 5 newer ones?
Best
Seriously! $340 to go. Wait until you hear the plan for the next milestone level. It's, in a word, insane.
So close to the Book of Buildings! I'm already planning mine, and bugging Jeremy to make it awesome looking =D
The lure of the lunchbox is grand!
Man. We were expecting to maybe get like 3-4 lunchbox orders. But nope. We're about to hit 20. That's so cool.
Damn it, Dave and Filomena. I said I wasn't going to do any Kickstarters this year besides a couple that I have been waiting for. Taking a break after the bunch last year. Then you had to include a lunch box. A DAMN LUNCH BOX. Kickstarted it now, damn it.
Bryan! I should have a sample spread of the puzzle book up tomorrow for you enjoyment!
We're 500$ away from the Book of Buildings! SO EXCITED!
I'm really excited about this game. Can't wait to explore the puzzles further.
Sean, I won't lie. I cannot WAIT to put these bad boys together. It's going to be a blast!
Just wanted to say your comment about those at the $150 getting the lunch box level items led me to pledge at that level vs the $50
We're batting around the idea of doing so. Not sure either way, yet.
Are you going to release the book of Puzzles as a PDF product later?
That is something we very much appreciate! Have you had a look at the beta? I hope you're all enjoying it.
Just raised my pledge 20$ for any shipping costs needed as well.
Cant wait the moment to FIX THE FUTURE !!
That's awesome. Thank you. When we ship, you'll see what it runs us. Feel free to pitch the difference. That's generally the best way to run it.
Thanks for your pledge!
I kicked in $160 for the $150 level, coz I'm overseas, way down here in New Zealand.
Let me know if you need more for postage.
Rock on! Thank you.
I promised I'd back this project when I asked about the Kickstarter, and now it's time to make good on my promise.
Sweet, we're almost there!
Let's Fix the Future, guys!
At last! A truly original RPG!
I've never pledged an RPG before, so I guess "Flatpack: Fix the Future! Optimistic Apocalyptic RPG" has something special that drove me to it!
Yay! So excited!
Joel, for you man? You get the lunch box. (We'll just say any 150$ or more backer gets the Deluxe(Lunch)Box Edition. Because you're awesome.)
Oh no! I thought backing at 150 would get me the lunchbox, too! How can I fix this?
Well, if you want to go that route, Jarvis, go ahead and increase your pledge. If you take it to $20, you're entitled to the physical book as well as both PDFs. If you just want to do the two in PDF, go ahead and go up to $15. Just remember when we send the backer survey to note it in the notes field. (I mean, if you forget, just drop us an email at any time. That works, too.)
You got my $10 for the rules PDF, but I'd gladly back for $15, or even $20, to get a PDF of the Book of Puzzles as well!
What An Original !!!!!
Optimistic Apocalyptic?! This is a theme I am greatly for. Push onwards!
Weee! Fix the Future!
The world needs more games like this. Happy to be backing!
