Maboud Ebrahimzadeh and Chris Wiezorek

Has not connected their Facebook account.

:: The following is a transcript from conversation I had ::
I was born in Iran. When I came to the US, I didn't speak a word of English. Well, that's a lie, I did know a few words: Coke, McDonald's, and 'What's up'. Even still, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that would call that a firm grip on the English language....
Well, I got laughed at a bunch in school when I was a kid because I didn't speak English well enough. So I did what I thought would help the most, I watched films. To put it more succinctly, I studied language in film. I remember once being asked 'What's your name?' and I said, 'Ebrahimzadeh. Maboud Ebrahimzadeh.' It didn't take much more than a split-second to realize that it works much better if you're an international super-spy in a tux... and having a name that's easy to pronounce doesn't hurt either.
So yes, I sat in front of a TV for hours on end and from what I can tell, it didn't rot my brain... yet. No it really was all about repetition.
Dr. Jones would say something, and I'd say it right back to a screen that never seemed to be listening to what I had to say. Raphael taught me sarcasm, Donatello taught me that smart humor almost never works for the average crowd (which is why every kid, including myself, loved Michelangelo) and Leonardo taught me that taking responsibility was over-rated. I didn't learn much from Splinter, I couldn't really ever stop laughing at his voice. Wait let me think- Death comes for us all, but something much worse comes for you. When you die, it will be without honor... or something like that. That's what Splinter said to The Shredder before he drops him into the back of a garbage truck.
Basically, films, movies, books, comics... I learned from them... that's how- why I got into film... kind of. Because even though the value of their contributions to society were questionable, they offered a story and a chance for me to learn something from them. What I want to do is offer something to society from my constantly growing point of view. I want to be able to tell a story in ways that offers insight, humor, passion... It's not in my nature to be mysterious but the discovery of knowledge can be an exhilarating experience, even if that discovery is a minor one. Finding the humor in a tragic situation, finding the tragedy in a humorous one, the contradictions and paradoxes, the finality in the notion of a series of endless ideas... these things intrigue me and if I can share that with someone, then so-much-the-better. If I fail... There's always politics.
