We've got some good news, some not-so-good-news and an introduction to Walter! Let's start with the good.
THE GOOD NEWS:
We've shipped out thousands of packages so far! They're landing on many of your doorsteps and we're thrilled to see your first Lumitype prints popping up on Facebook and Twitter. We're working on a video to guide you through your first Lumitype, which we'll share soon. In the meantime email us at hello@lumi.co with any questions.
...THE-NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS:
International backers are in for a longer wait. ALL International rewards for $50 or more will not be shipping until mid to late October. Complexities arising from shipping Inkodye in larger quantities internationally are forcing us to delay the shipping date.
We sincerely wish we could ship them sooner but our first priority is to make sure that your rewards arrive to you safely. We do not want your packages to get held at customs, to be sent back or for you to have to pay high fees upon delivery. The $35 pledge level was sent out to international backers because it was a smaller size subject to less shipping restriction - the delay is only for the $50-$625 rewards.

Our special Kickstarter-only negative features an original, pinstripe-wearing lolcat. We've taken to calling him Walter, and hope you'll enjoy him too. The photograph is a public domain image dating back from 1907 and can also be found at the Library of Congress's excellent photo archive.

BTW.. it's not a big deal to me because I was buying them for myself, but this is how they arrived:

They didn't appear to be "opened" otherwise, but I think they shifted in shipping and made the tape pull away from the box. Someone who is picky about giving or receiving gifts in "perfect condition" might not enjoy that. Again, no big deal to me. Just mentioning a minor blemish on an otherwise great product and package.
