I love Victor's work. We shared space during First Night Hartford a couple years back. He had a powerful and inspiring installation at the Hartford 21 building, participating with Anne Cubberly, Tao LaBossiere, Ethan Boisvert and me. I look forward to seeing his exhibit!

Update #1: Center without Walls to present MacArthur "Genius" Award recipient, Miguel Zenon
MacArthur "Genius" Award recipient, Miguel Zenon presents the North American debut of his next project, La Rayuela in Hartford, CT.
Rayuela is the title of the amazing novel by Argentinean author Julio Cortazar that takes place both in Paris and in Buenos Aires. Miguel teams up with French pianist Laurent Coq in writing the music with Miguel focusing on the Parisian chapters as an inspiration for his writing and Laurent on the Argentinian parts.
This new music has it's world debut in Paris, at the Sunside Jazz club, in April, with an atypical quartet featuring cello and trombone player Dana Leong and percussion and tabla master Dan Weiss.
Admission for this event, like all Center without Walls events, will start with a suggested donation (never more than $10) and end with, "what you can pay...seriously!!"
