Synopsis:

The year is 2038. "SoMe" is the story of Social Media as told through the experiences of Loren Feldman. It will feature interviews with luminaries, and stories about both Loren and the many people he has met over the course of his career on the web. It will tell the story of the people and culture that drives the Internet and social media. The good, the bad, the ugly. The underlying narrative to all of it is how these "new technologies" are affecting us. Who we are, how we relate to other people, and who people really are offline as opposed to online. Identity, transparency, persona, these are just a few of the concepts that will be explored.

Style:

The film will be composed of numerous visual elements including archival footage, new interviews, animation, puppetry, stand - up, subliminal inserts, linguistics, text, stand-up and other multi-media elements. Like all of Loren's work it will be unique, have a point of view while hopefully forcing you to connect dots that form the story. Think "The Wall" meets "Tree Of Life" meets "The King of Comedy"  meets "The Muppets"  type vibe.

All funds raised will go toward the following;

Production Costs - Travel, Set Rentals, Puppets, Props, Technical Talent, Costume Design,  Post-Production, All the usual stuff. Sandwiches for the crew that sort of thing.

Talent Costs - Some of these clowns might demand a fee which I won't give them but I'll buy them some drinks. Also for additional professional actors.

Crew Salaries - Everyone involved needs to get paid and is working far below their standard rates.

Legal - For obvious reasons.

Licensing  - Works from other artists.

We will get as much as every dollar directly on the screen as we can. If we exceed the financial goal it will only add to what can be accomplished. Additional funds could go to;
