Update #13: Getting ready to go back for session 2!
Hey Kickstarter partners!
Just wanted to let you know we are going back to Tony's Treasures the last week in June. We are going to record the remaining bed tracks and start putting some flavor and vocals on top. In the meantime, we are working on editing some raw footage from the first session to post for your enjoyment. This will be posted as an exclusive update so that you are all the first to see it;)
I also wanted to ask for those of you that haven't already, please take a few moments to answer the survey I sent back in February. This definitely helps me to organize all of your rewards and how you would like them delivered. I can't send the survey out again, due to a Kickstarter technical thing but if you can't find it, just email me and I will send my questions directly to you.
Once again, I very much appreciate your support of this project. Keep in touch and I will be sure to keep you posted!

Update #12: First sessions!
Hi everybody!
I wanted to let you know that we recently began tracking in the studio and we are so excited with what we have so far. With producer Dave Clo at the helm, we laid the foundations for the following original tunes:

as well as an as-yet untitled song which happened completely by accident! (I am working on the words to that one now;). Musicians on the sessions were: John Popovich, Sean Carney, Melvin Powe, Jan Roll and Dave Clo. Special thanks to Executive Producer Mark Puskarich and Engineer Cody Romshak of Tony's Treasures for making everything run so smoothly! Thank you, Lois Puskarich for keeping us fed!
We are back to arranging the next batch of tunes as well as working on the "icing" for the first batch. Our next sessions will be in June. When I first set the approximate delivery date for this CD, I failed to take the session scheduling aspect into account. I hadn't considered how difficult it would be to get everyone in the same place at the same time! I do apologize for my naivete to those who were expecting it sooner.
Do know that if these first sessions are any indication, this collection of music is going to be well worth the wait!

Since releasing her debut recording Diamonds on the Desert Floor in 2010 with the Drifter Kings, Long Tall Deb has firmly established herself as an artist on the rise. Produced by Blues Mob’s Michael Hill, the album features eleven original recordings that blend a heady mix of powerful storytelling with swampy, gutbucket soul.
The album was nominated by the Blues Foundation of Memphis, Tennessee as a top-5 finalist at the 2011 International Blues Challenge and has been receiving airplay on stations across North America, South America, and Europe as well as being honored as a “pick to click” on Sirius/ XM’s “B.B. King’s Bluesville”. It was also featured as a winner of Blues Revue Magazine’s “Sponsor the Bands Contest” in the May/ June 2011 issue.
Now in preparations to record her next CD, Long Tall Deb will continue touring and bring her dynamic live show to new audiences at festivals and venues around the world.
