This year we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the The Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center which also houses our Visual Arts Department at Morgan State University. It is also the 10th Anniversary of the Visiting Artist Series at MSU. Over the past decade, we have invited 10 of the most influential contemporary artists to teach and enlighten the art students at Morgan. We will be hosting an exhibition entitled "Con10poraries" in September at the James E. Lewis Museum which is also housed within the Murphy Fine Arts Center, where we will plan to reunite all of these artists to commemorate this historic campus anniversary. 

With Kickstarter and your support we hope you will assist us with this effort. In additon to traveling and housing expenses to bring each of the artists to Baltimore, we also plan to create a exhibition catalog and commemorative poster. As you can see on the right...each of the artists have graciously donated their art for pledge rewards. We hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to assist us with this project....thank you.

Lewis Museum of Art at Morgan State University featuring Larry Poncho Brown, Sylvia Walker, Charles Bibbs, Synthia SAINT JAMES, Paul Goodnight, Valerie Maynard, James Denmark, Phyllis Stephens, Charly Palmer, and Grace Kisa commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the The Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center and the reunion of 10 of America's most influential African American Artists who each have participated in the "Visiting Artist Series" benefiting the Morgan State University- Visual Arts Department over the past decade.
