Whimsical children's posters to make your walls happy. Screenprinted in water-based ink on beautiful paper.

I've enjoyed drawing animals ever since I discovered how funny they were: the range of motion, the varied shapes and colors, the deadpan facial expressions. (It gets even better when you add clothes.) Besides, I often draw for kids, where you can get away with making your main character a polar bear.
As an illustrator, I generally work in ink and watercolor. But when I studied illustration and printmaking in Germany, I fell in love with silkscreen. It's a great medium for bright, graphically bold posters–exactly what I plan to make here. And I like a handmade product!
Sports offered my animals some interesting poses. I had fun matching each animal with a sport they were singularly unsuited for.

The posters will be 18x24, which will fit in a standard-sized poster frame. Each of three designs will be produced in a run of about 250, all three in this large size. I'll also be printing a limited number of 12x16 mini-posters of ACROBATOPHANT and BASCATBALL.
The Kickstarter funds will cover printing and paper costs, shipping supplies, and other design costs like sample prints.
Thanks! I can't wait to send you a beautiful poster!

NEW REWARD:
It occurs to me that some of you, who might otherwise wish to support me, may not be interested in owning a piece of children's(-like) illustration. Perhaps you don't even know any children, or maybe you yourself are not especially childlike at heart.
I understand. For all you serious adult types, I have a new $25 reward. Zombie posters! (OLD YELLER LEVEL.) I made these a few years ago, and they continue to make me laugh. 12x16, offset printed on chipboard, fits in a standard-sized frame.

The posters are designed and ready to be printed. 18x24 is a larger format than I'm equipped to print myself, but I wanted the posters to be big and eye-catching, so I'm taking the work to a professional printmaker.
One of the interesting challenges of printmaking is getting the printed colors to match what you had in mind. So many choices affect the results, from the transparency of the ink to the texture of the paper. I'll be working closely with the printmaker to get the best results.
