I get it. That is cool. I see now. I have only backed three projects and I assumed this was your main distribution point. Got it!
So will you be letting your fans and backers here know how or when they can see the movie but not spend $50? If so how and when?

Thank you for the insight and we do really value the feedback. Do keep in mind that Kickstarter for us is not our distribution platform. Some projects use it as such. Kickstarter is a way to engage fans that want to help support and back the film. So we are not looking to provide every available future distribution option available here. We do see the value of digital download and I'm confident it will be in our distribution strategy, Kickstarter just isn't a reflection of that full strategy.

Several have asked so here is the short version:
To change your pledge you must fist sign into the kickstarter page.
Click on manage your pledge - should be upper right hand of Linsanity page
Change your pledge amount in the box provided and then choose your new promo.. then continue to payment... this will change the amount it does not add to ( or subtract from) previous amounts pledged. Hope this helps :-)

Roger. I understand what you are saying. I am a fan of movies and a fan of independent films. I am also a fan of Lin, and that is why I choose to support. He is good guy in my book.
I guess I suffer from reading to much Seth Godin. See I believe that if the authors of this film will embrace the new "connection economy" they will be able to go even further beyond this production. So, although it sounds like I am all about me, in fact I am trying to give a bit of "heads up" about the market and what it might allow. For me it is $10 of pure profit for them, which is pretty sweet and not to be dismissed when you think of the millions who also might pay $5 - $10.
Independent films should not be afraid of Red Box or even piracy. I make my living off of copyright and understand it's importance. But it is gonna happen and we can do nothing about it, expect make the best of it and strike while the iron is hot.
You and everyone reading this may not see it today, but direct download for pay to fans like us is going to be the future. And the cats who grab that wave early are gonna see a huge push on their next project. The beauty of direct will be that word of mouth on the internet will propel good works to greatness and bad works to the bottom. Thus everyone is helped.
But I figured this would be met with scorn and realize it was a waste of time.

Shawn, keep this in mind.. first, most people who pledge such as me are fans of Jeremy Lin. Second, I am a movie lover, and i would have no problem to support independent film maker.. The money i pledge is for a show of support, not purely for the dvd, button and etc.. those are just extra. If you are not a fan of Jeremy and not coming from supporting independent movie maker, even 50 cents will be too much for you..

The following is said with all respect. And I am trying to be considerate by reminding you it is 2013. Really, I am.
I would pay $10 for a digital download. I have no need for buttons, stickers, or old media like DVD or Blue Ray. I do have a interest a good story. And frankly I think the digital download would be pure profit for you while by-passing the middle man. Otherwise, I will just wait and see it at RedBox for $1 or see it on the internet for almost nothing. I am not trying to offend you, just reminding you of the facts in todays internet driven world.
Keep in mind that I and everyone here will eventually see the movie. The question is how hard will you make it and will you get paid more now or less later. Hope that makes sense without sounding mean. (said in my helpful, encouraging voice)

We haven't worked out the details of the content of the DVDs yet. We've been filming segments to use for behind the scenes and such, but at this point we just don't have a specific detail to share. If you're concerned just get the Blu-Ray DVD b/c if anything that'll have everything. ;)
