Next Steps
Thanks to your help, the Emperor's Edge project is fully funded (and then some!). We have enough to pay for the creation of audiobooks for EE3 and EE4, and I've already sent the Encrypted file off to the people who do my paperback covers and formatting. (As mentioned in a previous update, the signed paperbacks packages will now include EE 1-4 and Encrypted.)
In April, I'll be finishing up EE4, and the advanced reader copy of that is the first thing you'll get from me (later this month). In May, I'll start writing Book 5, and I'll be in touch with the folks who will be naming characters in that story. I'll also get the character details for the "Day in the Life" vignettes. We'll have three of those (four if I can get my lovely offline backer to participate).
As soon as the Kickstarter check comes, I'll send payment off to Darkfire Productions so the narrator, Starla Huchton, can get started on the audio of Book 3. The recording and editing of the audiobooks tend to take a few months, but that'll give me time to get the rest of the goodies finished up this spring and summer. I do hope to get everything to you before the September date I listed.

A DAY IN THE LIFE, NAME A BOOK CHARACTER, and NEW SHORT STORY -- Everything in the $500 package AND your pledge will give the world another Emperor's Edge short story. You can choose the point-of-view character and throw out a bunch of plot ideas. I'll pick one that sparks my imagination and run with it. I will make a chapbook and send you the signed copy. I will also distribute the ebook version of the short story for free, and in the foreword, I will mention you and how you (majorly!) helped out with my Kickstarter campaign. If you're a fantasy/SF author, artist, or musician, I will include a one-page advertisement for your website/work at the end of the story.
